Full Biography
Dr. Jonathan Fuerst comes to us as a highly trained medical and surgical retina specialist. Dr. Fuerst received his medical degree from Lousiana State University School of Medicine. Prior to completing a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Disease and Surgery at Retina Consultants of Alabama & the University of Alabama Birmingham, he completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham. During his medical training, Dr. Fuerst was on staff at a level 1 eye trauma center at the Callahan Eye Foundation hospital emergency room in Birmingham, Alabama. He and his wife, Claire, are looking forward to moving to East Tennessee. They love the outdoors and spending time in the Great Smoky Mountains.
