Tri-Cities Doctors Open New Office at Med Tech Parkway in Johnson City

We have exciting news regarding our new Johnson City location! Starting November 6, we will be seeing patients at our new Johnson City location, 161 Technology Lane, Johnson City, TN 37604.

Our new location is a convenient, single story facility with free parking located less than a mile from our old location. Please also take note that we will permanently close our current Johnson City office at 100 Med Tech Parkway location as of November 6th.

DR. Ailee Laham Joins Southeastern Retina Associates In Knoxville

SOUTHEASTERN RETINA ASSOCIATES welcome Ailee Laham, MD as the 15th board certified, fellowship trained Retina and Vitreous Surgeon on the physician team. Dr. Laham will primarily serve our Knoxville market locations, including offices in Knoxville, Powell, Morristown, Sevierville, and Crossville.
After receiving his BS degree at Miami University, Ohio, he attended Medical School at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He later did an Internal Medicine internship at The Christ Hospital.
Dr. Laham’s two-year Vitreoretinal Surgical Fellowship was at the University of Pittsburgh where he also served as an Ophthalmic Hospitalist. His Ophthalmology Residency was completed at the University of Cincinnati Department of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Laham’s wife grew up in Tennessee and his in-laws are in southern Kentucky so he already feels at home. His favorite activities are spending time with his wife, daughter, and three cats. He also enjoys hiking and outdoor activities.

DR. DEVON GHODASRA JOINS SOUTHEASTERN RETINA ASSOCIATES IN CHATTANOOGA

SOUTHEASTERN RETINA ASSOCIATES welcomes Devon Ghodasra, MD as the 14th board certified, fellowship trained Retina and Vitreous Surgeon on the physician team.  Dr. Ghodasra will primarily serve our Chattanooga market locations, including offices in Chattanooga, Hixson, Cleveland, Rome, GA, and Dalton, GA.

Raised in Dalton, Dr. Ghodasra attended McCallie High School in Chattanooga.  After receiving his BS degree at Duke University, he attended Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA.

Dr. Ghodasra’ s two-year Vitreoretinal Surgical Fellowship was at Kellogg Eye Institute, Ann Arbor, MI, following his Ophthalmology Residency with Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.

Southeastern Retina Associates’ Chattanooga Doctors Open Two New Offices on Gunbarrel Rd. & Hixson!

We have exciting news regarding new Chattanooga locations:

  •  Starting May 16, we will be seeing patients at our new Chattanooga location (1606 Gunbarrel Road, Suite 101, Chattanooga, TN 37421)
  • We are also opening a new office in Hixson at 1605 Williams Road, Suite 201, Hixson, TN 37343 and will begin seeing patients there on May 23!
  •  Both new locations are convenient, single story facilities with free parking.
  • Please also take note that we have permanently closed our Jarnigan Road location as of May 13.

Dr. Cummings Shares The Latest Clinical Trial Results from Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research Network

As part of Dr. Cummings’ presentation on diabetic eye disease, he shared the results of the latest clinical trial from the Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research Network (DRCR). The DRCR.net is funded by the National Eye Institute (NEI). The NEI is a part of the National Institutes of Health, which is the branch of government that funds medical research. Southeastern Retina is one of the110 participating sites (offices) with over 400 physicians throughout the United States.
